What are Baccarat betting game rules?

Baccarat is one of the most famous games in the industry. Arguably it is as popular as it is as its seen as fair, and doesn’t require a lot of money. This is especially true for the online world.

Just because the threshold isn’t as high as in other games, doesn’t mean that you should neglect how important it is to know the rules.

Sidenote: knowing the rules won’t guarantee that you win 100% of the time, but it will allow you to avoid the risks. Also, please play sensibly and gamble responsibly.

The basics

A game of Baccarat (or 百家樂) has three possible outcomes: you win, the banker wins or you tie. The banker is not the house, and participants in the game are able to bet on either the player or the banker’s hand.

You should be aware that bets must be placed on either the player of the banker before the cards are dealt.

For this reason, Baccarat is very much a game of luck for many participants.

How are the cards dealt?

The game begins with two cards – dealt to both the player and the banker.

The player or casino operator dealing the cards will slide one card out and place it face up on the player’s box, after that it’s the banker – and so on.

After this, the point total of both sets of cards is announced. Any card with a ten or a face on it are worth zero points – all the other cards are their face value. In this case, the ace is worth one point.

If the total is more than 10, the second digit is the value of the hand. For instance, if you have a 3 and a 9, your total comes to 12 which makes up a 2-point hand.

To win, your bet must be on the hand that is closest to 9.

What is the natural win in Baccarat?

In Baccarat, the natural win is when the point total is 8 or 9 for either the player or the banker. For example, if you get a 4 and a 5. This is called a natural win, and the game is automatically over.

In this case, the bets that have been placed are cashed out.

When does the player get a third card in Baccarat?

If the player gets a hand worth 0-5, the player will draw a third card. This is given the chance that the banker doesn’t have an 8 or 9 – in which case, they have an automatic win.

When does the banker get a third card in Baccarat?

The banker gets a third card when the player’s third card is 9,10, face-card or Ace. The banker will draw this if they have a 0-3.

If the player’s third card is 8, the banker will draw if they have a 0-2.

If the player’s third card if 6 0r 7, the banker will draw if they have a 0-6.

If the player’s third card is 4 or 5, the banker will draw if they have a 0-5.

If the player’s third card is a 2 or 3, the banker draws when they have a 0-4.

We hope this helps you understand and win your next Baccarat game.
