And speaking of classic plays, the Hudson Players Club is presenting their production of Aristophanes’ broad satirical comedy “Lysistrata” at the Hudson Village Theatre, 23 Wharf Road, on April 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 and 13. Written over 2000 years ago, the play tells the story of Lysistrata, and how she rallies her fellow Greek ladies to deny their husbands sex, unless they put down swords in an imminent battle between Athens and Sparta. It’s a timeless battle of the sexes (or war and peace?). Tickets for the show are $22 adults, $20 students and seniors, $18 for groups of 18 or more people, and QDF members get a 10% discount. For more information, call 450-458-5361.
