Edward Scissorhands in Concert brings Tim Burton’s dark and delightful modern fairy tale back to the big screen for one night only at Place des Arts, with Danny Elfman’s GRAMMY®-nominated score performed live by a full orchestra.
Under the baton of conductor Evan Mitchell, a full orchestra will perform Elfman’s iconic score live, note for note and perfectly in sync with a special version of the film. The original musical score is removed while all dialogue and sound effects remain intact, allowing the orchestra to become the soundtrack.
Directed by Tim Burton, the beloved 1990 film follows Edward, a gentle artificial man with scissors for hands who longs for connection and finds it through a tender romance with Kim. Celebrated for its exploration of acceptance, enduring love and the challenges of being misunderstood, Edward Scissorhands is brought to life in an entirely new way through the power of a live orchestra.
