JFL adds new shows to line-up

In other Just For Laughs news, organizers recently announced more additional shows and hosts to give their already increasing star-studded line-up much more star power.

For example, Anthony Anderson, star of the hit ABC sitcom Black-ish will take up hosting duties for his very first gala on July 28. Popular stand-up comic and podcast host Marc Maron will be making two appearances at this year’s Just For Laughs festival; first, he will bring his current Hey, There’s More Tour to the Cinquieme Salle of Place des Arts on July 26, and then on July 27, Maron will join GLOW co-star Betty Gilpin and co-creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch for Netflix presents GLOW: A Cast and Creators Panel. Canadian singer Jann Arden, who is now the star of her own hit sitcom on CTV, will talk about the show with its co-creators Leah Gauthier and Jennica Harper on July 25 at the Grand Salon Opera at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal. And veteran comic – and Emmy Award-winning actor – Louie Anderson will recount his 40 years on the comedy circuit, as he delivers the keynote address for this year’s ComedyPro conference on July 26 at 2:30 p.m.
