Quebec expected to loosen restrictions

The Premier of Quebec François Legault has said he will consider loosing restrictions and relax curfew in certain parts of Quebec. However he also stated that restrictions will stay enforced in certain parts as well.

These new proposals on the table are allowing non-essential businesses to reopen across the province of Quebec. Shopping centres will open with occupancy rules as were in place before the Christmas season this past year.

Will it be too late to safe Montreal business?

In the orange zone regions of Quebec the curfew will be pushed back until 9:30 P.M. also restaurant dining for family bubbles could be allowed however, at this point it is only speculation.

At 5 p.m. tonight Premier Francois Legault with Health Minister Christian Dubé and Dr. Horracio Arruda, Quebec director of public health will set out the new guide lines.

After almost one month of the 8 P.M. curfew a recent study shows the number of daily cases of COVID-19 have dropped sufficiently to reduce restrictions and give back some sort of normal life to all Quebecers.
