Botox and fillers and skin club are great. They can take years off and can give you that little boost, just make you feel revitalized. However those who administer the Botox and fillers vary in their degree of knowledge, experience, technique, talent and artistry.
It is important to choose wisely, years of experience, background, training etc. Technique is important but does the doctor have an aesthetic eye? Have a look at beautiful job acne scarring treatment melbourne can do.
I am not new to the botox and filler experience, however it has not always been a positive experience.
I started expirementing about 5 years ago. There were times when I loved some of the results and hated others. I felt they were either overdone or underdone or not symetrical. So one side of my face was fuller than the other, or I had chipmunk cheeks. Sometimes you have had so much filler injected in your “marionette lines” you look like you have marbles in your mouth.
Lip injections left me with white lumps that would not go away.
When you are investing so much money, you want a great return on your investment, I just wanted something that looked a bit more natural. You really have to do your research.
I had heard a lot of positive talk about Dr. Linda Ptito, her technique, her years of experience, so I decided I would give her a try.
Linda Ptito, MD, graduated from the University of Bordeaux in France. She completed her medical training at McGill University (anesthesia) and the University of Montreal from 1977-1980. She has earned her Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC). A pioneer in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Ptito was one of the first physicians to inject collagen for dynamic wrinkles in the early 80’s. In the mid 90’s, the advent of BOTOX® Cosmetic allowed her to refine and develop her noninvasive facial rejuvenation results.
In the early 90’s, she was a beauty consultant at an Asian spa in Singapore where she began to use cosmeceuticals, she actually started the idea of a medical spa in Asia – practically unknown at the time – in dermatological indications such as age spots, acne and of course skin rejuvenation.
Dr. Ptito provides training for doctors wishing to specialize in medical aesthetics. She continues to travel the world to refine her skills and bring to her patients innovative, non-invasive solutions for beauty.
Dr. Ptito regularly teaches other practioners the latest how to’s and trends in the industry. Last fall she gave 12 training sessions to other practioners.
I was able to set up a consultation for a couple days later. When I met with Dr. Ptito, I told her the areas that bothered me most, the forehead wrinkles, the worry lines, the deep nasal labia folds and the falling jowls.
She advised me what she thought would work best for me. Dr. Ptito was very attentive and explained everything thoroughly. I was surprised to learn during my consultation that she does not inject directly into nasal labia folds as I had done previously. I was also intrigued by the “mini lift” It is what Dr. Ptito is known for. “I call it a lateral lift which is a mini lift without surgery,” says Ptito. “It is a very natural technique and works wonders on the oval face structure, it gives the patient a fresher and more natural look.”
There is an $85 fee for the consultation but if you go ahead with any treatment it is deducted from your bill.
My appt was set for Wednesday, I was excited. Wednesday at 12:15. I arrived a bit early, filled out some forms and was seen right away.
I was in awe at the technique and artistry of Dr. Ptito. I felt like I was being taken care of by someone who really knew their craft. Always looking to make sure everything was symetrical.
The needles? I know a lot of people hate needles. I am used to it, They are very thin needles, therefore the pain is minimal. I was also provided with some stress balls, that really helped.
After about an hour I was done. I was able to see some results immediately but of course with some swelling it’s best to wait a week or 2 till everything settles.Botox usually takes 3 to 10 days to take effect.
Well it’s about 10 days later. the Botox in my forehead is looking great, completely wrinkle free. I had a small bruise near the cheekbone which is healing nicely.
The fillers seem to be settling in really nicely
I am really pleased with my results and will definitely be returning to Dr Linda Ptito for more work when needed.
It’s a change that makes me feel really good. For me it turns the clock back a bit, which in turn makes me feel good on the outside as well as the inside.
Don’t get me wrong I am very comfortable with who I am. I like what Botox and fillers do for me, it may not be for everyone, but when I look in the mirror, I like the improvements.
Botox and fillers are not meant to drastically alter your appearance, it is a procedure that should make you look rested, and maybe at the same time turn the clock back just a bit.
I feel lucky to have found Dr. Linda Ptito. A true master at her craft. Dr Ptito sees her job as an art. As Dr Ptito says “Beauty is an art”
