Montreal Four Seasons Hotel opens

A new hotel has recently opened its doors and added itself to the growing number of hotels in Montreal’s downtown core, and will certainly attract its fair share of tourists, visitors and locals alike whether they are visiting the city for a vacation, on a business trip, or want a new place to stop for a meal, a drink or a special occasion.

The brand new Four Seasons Hotel on de la Montagne Street in the heart of downtown Montreal, with 169 guest rooms and suites, was officially opened last week with a special VIP event that offered guided tours of the facilities that was designed by Lemay and Sid Lee Architecture, with its imposing, eye-catching exterior decked out in black with metallic ribbons.

Each guest room certainly defines simplicity, luxury and comfort, complete with comfortable seating areas, technology services at your fingertips, and generous washrooms with freestanding tubs. One very impressive aspect of the guest room area is located in the Carre Dore area, with artist Pascale Girardin’s breathtaking floral-inspired artistic installation that practically cascades down the building’s entire open-air atrium.

Montreal 5 star hotels

The nucleus of the hotel is its Social Square that is located on the 3rd floor, which encompasses the hotel lobby, a terrace that overlooks the downtown area it encompasses (including a wonderful view of the giant Leonard Cohen mural on Crescent Street), a day and night bar, a lounge, a connection to the Holt Renfrew department store, and its jewel, the MARCUS restaurant.

The restaurant marks the Canadian debut of its namesake, renowned celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. Built in a modern brasserie decor (with an open kitchen, so that you can see its crew of dedicated chefs fervently prepare the meals), the restaurant/bar’s dining experience will focus on dishes that are prepared with fresh ingredients that are taken directly from Montreal’s many markets, the old port, as well as its surrounding forests and farmlands.

If you crave for some wellness in your life – whether you are a guest or a local resident – the Four Season Montreal’s spa is a virtual wellness sanctuary. With eight treatment rooms, a sauna, whirlpool bath, relaxation areas and a state-of-the-art gym, the hotel’s spa offers the ultimate in relaxing, stress-free spa experiences, including the city’s only Kneipp Hydrotherapy facility, which promotes good health through hot and cold water and can be reached via a specially designed reflexology footpath.

Also available at the new Four Seasons Hotel are 18 private residences, the Palais des Possibles main ballroom, which can be used for meetings, events, weddings and other special occasions for groups of up to 450 people, and two additional salons for special and private events.

Ultimately this place belongs to Montrealers, we want to create a space where locals and international visitors can connect and interact, said Goncalo Monteiro, the hotel’s General Manager. We’ve created a unique eco-system where visitors are surprised at every turn, that encourages social engagement, sets the stage for unexpected encounters and where unique moments and memories are created.
