Drapeau and Olay, Montreal Fashion Week (MFW) returns with a milestone 5th edition that promises a diverse schedule celebrating local fashion.
Five years of driving Quebec’s fashion forward
Since its relaunch in 2021 under the leadership of mmode, MFW has carved out its place as a
must-attend event on Montreal’s fashion scene. This fall, Montreal Fashion Week marks a major
milestone: 5 years of growth and collective mobilization. Year after year, the event has
adjusted, reinvented itself, expanded across the province and strengthened the city’s identity
as a hub of creative energy.

Showcasing Homegrown Creativity
To mark this anniversary in style, MFW is proud to team up with Laurence Fortin-Côté as
spokesperson. An entrepreneur and visionary with over a decade of experience in fashion and
social media, and founder of her own brand, Rholend, she perfectly embodies the spirit of this
edition.
The 2025 schedule will feature 6 signature events, including the highly anticipated return of
Eliza Faulkner with a rare runway presentation, a bold new chapter from Maison Marie Saint
Pierre, a true emblem of Quebec talent on the international scene, and a daring proposal from
MRKNTN, a name to watch in the next generation. The edition will also highlight the Afrique
Mode exhibition at the McCord Stewart Museum, the unique creations of Anne-Marie
Chagnon, and the immersive runway experience of LIGNES DE FUITE, powered by three
emerging designers.

In 2025, Montreal Fashion Week is expected to bring together:
100+ organizations and brands, from designers to manufacturers and retailers
95+ activations across 14 neighbourhoods in Montreal
Nearly 20,000 expected attendees, including both fashion enthusiasts and the public
These numbers illustrate not only the scope of MFW, but its role as an economic and cultural
driver as well, generating tangible benefits for the entire ecosystem.
Where Circularity Meets Solidarity
Once again this year, sustainability will be at the heart of the programming, with initiatives such
as the Lunch and Learn hosted by Core Fabrics and Collective Détour on responsible
sourcing and production practices, the ReMode festival presented by Fashion Takes Action
(FTA) making its Montreal debut with conferences, a specialized market, and a large clothing
swap, as well as an exclusive workshop by Charles Hulin, where participants will transform
upcycled textiles into unique pieces.
The 2025 edition will also shine a light on social and community-driven projects, carried out by
partners such as Concertation MTL, Atelier PROMO 21, The Shoebox Project, and Le
Chaînon thrift store, reinforcing the message that fashion can also be a vector for inclusion
and solidarity.
