First Igloofest at the top of Le Massif

The first edition of Igloofest at the Mountain which took place at Le Massif de Charlevoix this Saturday, March 23rd during the mythical Massif Open, was a great success as Loud, Poirier and Ryan Playground shook things up with more than 4000 brave party-goers who gathered at the summit to live this unique experience.

Combining their strength and expertise, both Le Massif and Igloofest teams worked together for several months to create this major event that fused the trademark stage design of the Montreal can’t-miss event with Le Massif’s majestic natural decor.

The winter elements were quite present for this first edition as wind gusts reached 75km/h and 25 cm of snow fell on the site on the day before, yet just in time for the party a beautiful spring sun came out to join the happy crowd of over 4000 people.

For the past 13 years, Igloofest has thrilled thousands of people at Montreal’s Old Port during its festive, dazzling and truly unique winter evenings. The brilliant success of this first Igloofest at the Mountain is, we hope, the promise of a long tradition, which is why we can already announce that there will be a 2nd edition next winter!

This new event would not have been possible without the involvement of gold partners, starting with Le Massif de Charlevoix, with whom this project came to life. A huge thank you also to Anfibio, Carlsberg, Southern Glazers, Newad, LSM, Destination Baie-St-Paul, the municipality of Petite-Riviere Saint-Francois, Tourisme Charlevoix, the Charlevoix RCM – Local and Entrepreneurial Development Department, the Eastern Charlevoix RCM – Charlevoix Development Mission, the Quebec City Tourism Board, Tourism Montreal and the Government of Quebec.
