The United Irish Societies of Montreal Inc are happy to announce the route of the 196th St Patrick’s Parade. Due to construction we are back on St Catherine street however it will be a much shortened route.

The Erin Sports Association would like to invite you to the 42nd Annual Irishman of the Year Breakfast (Tickets might be sold out).

The membership have selected Father John Walsh as Irishman of the Year for his accomplishments in preserving Irish culture and traditions as well as his efforts in all his benevolent endeavours. The chief factors in determining whom this award is bestowed upon are quality of character and contribution to the community, both of which Father John is an example for us all.

Background:

The Erin Sports Association was founded in 1931. For over eight decades the organization has supported a wide variety of causes, from youth sports programs to Christmas Baskets to vocational scholarships.

A perennial supporter of local community groups The Erin Sports Association regularly donates to St Gabriel’s Parish, the Old Brewery Mission, Good Shepard, St Columba House as well as Chez Doris to name but a few. Close to our hearts are the Point St Charles, Verdun & LaSalle community organizations and their youth sports programs.

With the profits from this Breakfast, and other events held throughout the year, The Erin Sports Association hopes to continue supporting and the local community for years to come and has allowed us to donate over $325,000 to charity
