Paddleboarder feared drowned near Oka

Oka-beach

Early Saturday night two men in their twenties fell off their paddleboards in the Lake of Two Mountains.

People close by were able to rescue one man by pulling him to safety. The other man was not so lucky and slipped under the water not to be seen again. Witnesses say neither man was wearing a life jacket.

The Coast Guard and Fire department were on the scene until late last night looking for the missing man. Sunday morning Provincial Police divers are on the scene looking for the missing victim.
