The 10th edition of the Hudson St. Patrick’s Parade is set to make its way down Main Road on Saturday, March 16, starting at 1 p.m. And it is going to be the biggest and brightest procession in the event’s history.

There will be a record-setting 105 entries in the parade this year – with eight marching bands, horses, ponies, dogs and entries from Quebec City, Ontario and across the greater Montreal region.

This is shaping up to be the best and most festive St. Patrick’s parade in the history of this event, which is a really nice way to mark our 10th anniversary, said parade organizing committee chairman Jay de la Durantaye.

Two awards will be given out this year – the Jim Beauchamp Community Spirit Award for the entry that best displays community spirit, and the Randy Tieman Memorial Award for the media entry that best represents the parade’s spirit. The awards honour Jim Beauchamp, the parade’s original founder, and the late Randy Tieman, a veteran Montreal sports broadcaster who was one of the parade’s past Grand Marshals.

The traditional green line that traces the parade’s route between Côte St. Charles and Cameron St. is the last detail to be taken of.

So come down and join the celebration on Saturday. The parade marks the official start of spring – and we need to welcome it with open arms and warm hearts.

Join parade Grand Marshal Jamie Orchard, Chief Reviewing Officer Jay Farrar and the first Irishwoman of the Year, Brenda O’Farrell, as well as the 2019 Queen of the parade, Samara O’Gorman, and her court – princesses Kimberlee O’Brien and Emma Gauthier.
