Opening of Splash Pads in Westminster and Lake Road Parks

 in Dollard-des-Ormeaux

The City’s vision is to improve its residents’ quality of life. As part of this, the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux is proud to have completed two splash pads at Westminster and Lake Road Parks. They will provide a great outdoor space for residents to play and cool off during the warmer months.

The locations of these new installations, along with the existing splash pad at Sunnybrooke Park, were chosen to ensure that the entire Dollard-des-Ormeaux community can benefit from their proximity.

The new splash pads are divided into three zones: one for toddlers, one for the family, and an active zone geared towards teens. They will accommodate more than 75 people at a time, are accessible for individuals with disabilities, and will be open each year from late May to mid-October from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Additional facilities have been provided, including picnic tables and shaded areas, to maximize enjoyment.

Mayor Alex Bottausci stated: “The common vision of our council is to improve the quality of life of our residents, to create spaces that allow them to enjoy and embrace their city. Splash pads are an excellent place to meet and play. We have two great launching events planned and I hope the community comes out in great numbers.”

The Lake Road splash pad will open officially on Friday, July 12 at 4:00 p.m. The Westminster Park splash pad will open on Friday, July 19 at 4:00 p.m.
