Canadian’s favourite quirky things to do on their smartphone

smartphone

In the year 2020, the percentage of adult Canadians who had a smartphone reached 87 percent. When we are separated from our phones, the vast majority of us experience a sensation similar to that of having a leg amputated.

However, it’s not like we’re constantly picking up the phone. It goes without saying that we are living in the era of the application, and the kinds of applications that are now the most popular reveal a lot about the culture of today.

Online Gambling

Players in Ontario have already been permitted to participate in games offered by offshore internet casinos free of any repercussions from the law until 2022. However, because of the amendment to the legislation, regulated Ontario Live Casinos are now a possibility in the province of Ontario.

Players have access to a more secure gaming environment when they play at regulated online casinos. After the formal opening, legitimate casino operators will emerge in order to offer the table games and slot machines that are appropriately controlled on domestic land. There’s never been a better opportunity to play at online casinos in Canada than there is right now.

Social Media

88% of smartphones use social networking applications. It’s hardly unexpected because 95% of Canadians use social media. It also reveals how they utilise social media and phones. Twitter comes second to Facebook.

Hold that notion and look at the second-most-popular app category. Facebook Messenger leads messaging applications. This approach to reach gives them more comprehensive information than categorising applications by category.

The top two categories indicate that they use their phones to communicate with friends, family, and acquaintances. It’s reassuring that a cell phone is still a phone. Their method differs from pre-smartphone times. Not via phone calls or messaging, but through voice, text, video, and more.

Entertainment

In this context, we are referring to applications such as YouTube, Netflix, and Disney+. These things tell us a lot about the ways in which Canadians enjoy entertainment in the year 2022. Before the advent of mobile devices, it was all about having larger displays, surround sound speakers, and completely immersing oneself in whatever one was viewing.

Even in this day and age, there is still room for that kind of adventure. It is true that there are a lot of heated debates taking place online about whether or not it is “proper” to watch a complete movie on your phone, but the fact of the matter is that people do it, and it is becoming an increasingly widespread practice.

It is also important to note that the bulk of entertainment and video material that is being viewed by more than 70% of mobile phone users is not full-length films but rather shorter video content.

This is an important distinction to make. In other terms, the archetypal cat movies are still a vital part of the internet, even if they may not be as popular as they once were.
