About 60 people attended a special end-of-summer evening at Expo 67’s Jamaica Pavilion located on Parc Jean-Drapeau on August 29, which was hosted by Champlain College Continuing Education Academic Advisor Eric Poehlman. Following the unwritten fashion rule of no white clothes after Labour Day, all the guests were decked out in their finest white clothing, as they enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres from the Bon-D restaurant, cocktails and a special wine and cheese (with three services) that was conducted by sommelier Natalie Bergeron.
The guests – which comprised of many of Mr. Poehlman’s friends, family and colleagues – also included special guest Vernon Adams, Jr., quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes, who was accompanied by his family, which included Dr. Liz Griffin and his son Kash.

The evening was emceed by Eramelinda Boquer from CJAD, and funds were raised for the Champlain College Cavaliers football team through a raffle, in which the prizes included Alouettes jerseys, hats and game tickets, as well as luxurious floral bouquets.
