SÉANCE and FLIGHT are two new immersive audio experiences by DARKFIELD making Canadian premieres in Montreal, brought to you by PHI Studio and Realscape Productions
This summer, the Old Port of Montreal comes alive with the arrival of DARKFIELD, the acclaimed UK-based studio known for its immersive audio experiences in complete darkness. Presented inside specially designed shipping containers, these two experiences will transport audiences into sensory worlds that are both unsettling and captivating.
SÉANCE and FLIGHT use binaural sound and theatrical staging to place audiences at the centre of the narrative.
Each 20-minute experience unfolds in total darkness, blurring the line between reality and fiction and inviting participants to question what is real — and what isn’t. Created by Glen Neath and David Rosenberg, these works have already captivated over 600,000 people
worldwide.
This is not DARKFIELD’s first collaboration with PHI — in 2022, PHI presented ETERNAL, an immersive audio experience inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
About the Two Experiences
SÉANCE is an intense sonic performance that explores the psychology of a group of people who have been bombarded with suggestible material. In complete darkness, your senses become vulnerable to persuasion. The only ask is that audiences proceed with an open mind.
FLIGHT takes audience members through two worlds, two realities and two outcomes to their journey. Find comfort in knowing that however ill advised your choices have been – there is a version of you who made better ones and is suffering less regret and embarrassment.

SÉANCE and FLIGHT will be presented starting June 20, 2025, at 2 de la Commune Street West. Both experiences are offered in French and English and are suitable for ages 13 and up.
What is Darkfield?

Realscape Productions Realscape Productions are international theatre producers specialising in tech-infused, multi-sensory experiences that make your brain go “OoOoh!” Their work
spans the immersive shipping container productions DARKFIELD, the acclaimed
sci-fi dance phenomenon Future Cargo by Requardt & Rosenberg, the Australian
productions of the hit West End play Ghost Stories, and the award-winning
one-on-one encounter Mummy’s Milk.
