Montreal Restaurants – Summer is long way gone in Montreal. Good thing there are lots of interesting things going on at our favourite restaurants these days: openings (re)openings, new concepts, new chefs, new menus … Fall is always a period of transition, and it is also the case in the Restaurant industry. So, what is new this month in our favourite establishments? Let’s check it out!

Food Hall Le Central: now open

Le Central Food Hall project, where celebrity chef Danny St-Pierre was consulting, is now open in Le Quartier des Spectacles. This unique epicurean destination that will certainly change the food scene on the corner of Saint-Laurent and Saint-Catherine streets. Le Central welcomes you with 25 signature restaurants concepts, a reflection of Montreal’s culinary creativity. There you will find : Pintxo, Heirloom Pizza, Yannick Fromagerie, Gras Dur, Cantine Emilia and much more food and beverage stands for you to enjoy 7 days/week.

Jacopo is now serving brunch

The newest addition of the Antonopoulous group of restaurants (Bevo, Maggie Oakes, Mechant Boeuf…) Jacopo, has been a great success since its opening last summer. After a short period of transition, they decided to extend their opening hours and launch a new brunch menu. Just like the restaurant itself, the brunch at Jacopo is 100% Italian-inspired with towers of home made pastries, biscottis, cannolis, ricotta pancakes and other sweet (and tasty) morning delicacies like “make your own Bellini kits”, speciality coffees, home made bacon and sausages.

Fugazzi Pizza is now open for lunch 

Fugazzi Pizza has been a personal favourite since its opening. The power-team behind this “Brooklyn-inspired” pizzeria- with-an-attitude know what they are doing (Foiegwa, Barroco, etc.). Considering the place is always packed, the owners recently decided to open for lunch as well. Pointe Saint-Charles is welcoming more and more cool restaurant concepts, and who doesn’t want to have pizza for lunch ? Especially at Fugazzi.

William Gray’s Terrace will remain open until Nov. 3rd

The very chic William Gray Hotel has decided to keep their popular terrasse open this Fall. Open until November 3rd, the now-heated terrace serves brunch, lunch and dinner menus, accompanied by refreshing wines, cocktails and beers. Enjoy one of the most popular terrace of the summer this Fall while heaters and warm blankets will keep you cosy during happy hour, set against the beautiful views of Old Montreal.

New late-night menu at Fiorellino Laurier

Restaurant Fiorellino Laurier recently launched a new “late night menu” that will be offered 7 nights a week as of 9 PM. The menu, offered at $26/person includes: a choice of antipasto & a main dish, and, important to know, the dishes are the same as the regular menu. The restaurant will also be serving specials on signature Italian cocktails such as Aperol and Bellini available in large pitchers. Perfect for a pre-night out dinner or after-movies meal.

A vegan sushi restaurant opened: Bloom

Bloom Sushi, which recently opened in Old Montreal, is serving sushi rolls carefully crafted by a team of passionate sushi masters. The only twist: they’re made from plant-based ingredients, so no trace of fish or seafood there. Vegan and vegetarians enthusiasts can now enjoy botanic sushi platters and other Asian-inspired dishes that are 100% vegan in a sumptuous decor at Bloom Sushi.
