Life-sized LEGO® Lamborghini coming to 2023 Canadian International Autoshow

2023 Canadian International AutoShow

The 2023 Canadian International AutoShow has just announced that a life-sized LEGO® TechnicTM Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 will be on display at the show in February.

Made from more than 400,000 LEGO® TechnicTM pieces, the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 replicates the visionary design of the limited-edition Italian sports car to the minutest detail. It is a show-stopping collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini that demonstrates with LEGO elements, you can build whatever you imagine for real.

“The Lamborghini replica is a stunning model that is sure to be a showcase and one of the most popular stops for families at the show,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow.

The model is proportion-perfect down to the millimetre, with more than 154 different types of LEGO elements used to ensure it embodies the futuristic elegance and unmistakeable silhouette of the Lamborghini Sián, down to the most minute details:

• The frame is covered with an intricate fabric of bespoke hexagonal LEGO Technic elements that interconnect to form an energy-charged shell.

LEGO® TechnicTM Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 will be on display at Canadian International AutoShow taking place February 17th to 26th, 2023, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

How much would a life-sized Lamborghini cost?

In the Lego world, buying a model kit that roughly cost 10 cents per piece is often considered a good deal. Using that as a guide, we can calculate that it would cost $40,000 to re-create the life-size Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 that the Lego Group built as a special model for Automobili Lamborghini.

• The word Sían means “flash” or “lightning” in the Bolognese dialect so to mark this, the electrical experts from the LEGO Group ensured that the lights and sleek lightning bolt that flashes along the body reflect how the real model’s epsilon headlights and hexagonal taillights power up and down.

• Inside the cockpit the detail continues, with a brick-built steering wheel emblazoned with the famous Lamborghini emblem and Italian flag, LEGO-built dashboard controls and sports seats.
The model was created by a team of 15 people over 8,660 hours of development and detailed construction.

The life-sized replica of the Lamborghini is also a blow-up version of a LEGO Technic model. At a 1:8 scale and 3,696 pieces, the LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 embodies the unrivalled power, visionary design and futuristic elegance of the limited-edition Italian super sports car. It is the ultimate collector’s item for luxury car lovers and LEGO fans looking for their next building challenge.

In a vivid lime-green colour with elegant golden rims, the model measures more than 5” (13cm) high, 23” (60cm) long and 9” (25cm) wide. This one-of-a-kind model is the ultimate addition to any LEGO collection.

The LEGO Technic Lamborghini will be located on the 700 level of the South Building at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. On the same level, Grand Touring Automobiles will display a showcase of road-going Lamborghinis.

The 2023 Canadian International AutoShow will take place February 17th to 26th, 2023, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Tickets are now on sale at autoshow.ca. Since launching at the beginning of December, ticket sales in the initial two week period surged more than 220 per cent ahead of where they were at the same point for the last AutoShow in 2020, setting a pre-holiday sales record and demonstrating clearly that consumers are excited for the Show’s return!

For many building owners, warehouse managers, or home workshop enthusiasts, the ceiling is a landscape of aging metal boxes housing flickering fluorescent tubes. These fixtures, while functional for decades, have become a source of mounting frustration. Between the humming ballasts and the constant need to replace burnt-out bulbs, the maintenance cycle feels never-ending. The good
