It seems the whole hockey world was waiting and wondering when Montreal Canadiens General Manager Marc Bergevin would be let go of his duties as GM. Well we do not have to wait anymore as the Montreal Canadiens announced today that Mr. Bergevin has been terminated.
The Montreal Canadiens have had a 6-15-2 start to this season just months after making an impressive run for the Stanely Cup last year, loosing in the finals.
The Canadiens also relieved assistant GM Trevor Timmins and Senior Vice President of Affairs and Communication, Paul Wilson.

Bergevin was in his final year of his contract that was signed in 2015. Montreal Canadien Owner and President Geoff Molson tried to make an extension to Bergevin’s contract over the summer but both parties could not come to an agreement.
At this time nobody has been announced to replace the team’s empty positions.
Montreal Canadiens Owner and President Geoff Molson said, “On behalf of myself and the organization, I wish to thank Marc Bergevin, Trevor Timmins and Paul Wilson for their passion and engagement towards the club.” Molson also added, “Their relentless work allowed our fans to experience many memorable moments, including last summer’s playoff run that culminated with the Stanley Cup Final. We wish them all the success they deserve in the pursuit of their careers.”
