Top three travel places to put on your post-pandemic travel list

Top three travel places

The coronavirus outbreak affected every aspect of our lives. We had to give up our old habits and adapt to the new circumstances. Staying at home has become the ultimate act of responsibility. We have forgotten what it is like to take a walk, have a cup of coffee, or meet with our loved ones and not think about the risks. However, there’s one thing we truly miss, and that’s traveling. Have a look at these top three travel places to add to your bucket list.

The ‘New Normal’ and traveling

It has been over a year since the last time we traveled without fear. Oh, how we miss those beautiful days full of excitement. Goosebumps we felt every time we set our feet on new ground, the beauty of getting to know new places, people, and cultures, exploring exotic cuisine and nightlife, going to museums, and spending days on breathtaking beaches.

The truth is, we can still travel, but it’s not as easy as it once was. Those who decide to travel abroad have to go through many procedures, from testing for COVID to spending days in quarantine. For instance, if you are planning a trip to Canada, you need to meet specific requirements. You must take a COVID-19 test and spend 3 to 14 days in a designated hotel until the test shows negative.

As you can see, if you can avoid traveling, maybe you should. We hope the pandemic will be over soon, and until that happens, we can make a list of places we would like to visit. It is a safe yet beautiful way to visualize our future adventures.

Make room for these three places on your traveling list

Imagining the places you would like to visit often brings joy. Whether you dream about exotic locations, hidden pears of nature, or capital cities, traveling lists are maybe the most favourite lists ever created. If yours still has a few spare spots, we suggest the following locations.

#1 Top three travel places

New Zealand

New Zealand is currently one of the safest countries to travel to. The government’s efforts to control the spread of the coronavirus resulted in only 1166 confirmed cases.

And once you start planning your trip to New Zealand, make sure to visit Auckland. The largest city in the country has so much to offer, and it will overcome your expectations. There’s something for everyone’s taste, and among other things, you should visit Auckland Art Gallery and the Auckland Domain park.

If you are an outdoorsy type, your next stop should be the Bay of Islands. This breathtaking region is ideal for those in love with sailing and fishing. Other places worth visiting are Waiheke Island, Queenstown, and Franz Josef Glacier.

Among other things, New Zealand is also proud of its vibrant nightlife. The country is popular for its casinos as the best source of entertainment, where the biggest and the most popular one is the SkyCity Auckland followed by SkyCity Queenstown, SkyCity Wharf casino, Dunedin Casino New Zealand, and so on. And New Zealanders love to gamble. In recent years, besides land-based casinos, there is a bloom of online casinos in the country where SkyCity Online Casino is one of the best choices when you want to have some online fun on a break between the tours.

#2 Top three travel places

Galapagos Island — Ecuador

Located 926 km west of mainland Ecuador, Galapagos Island is the perfect place for social distance. Instead of being surrounded by people, you’ll enjoy the company of cute animals. You can find a cruise and go on a boat trip around the Galapagos archipelago to discover the island’s hidden regions.

You can see marine turtles on Tortuga Bay; or La Lobería near San Cristóbal Island, the house of sea lions. Or famous volcanic crater Devil’s Crown, home to fascinating species like Tiger Snake Eels, Hammerhead sharks, Eagle Rays, and so on. A true underwater Heaven for explorers. Just imagine yourself chilling in the morning sun on a sandy beach while turtles and sea lions are swimming freely in the water.

#3 Top three travel places

The Outback — Australia

The Outback desert is one of those breathtaking places you could have all to yourself. It is an unpopulated desert area, which even the Aussies rarely visit. You will have the chance to explore aboriginal sacred spots, including Kata Tjuta and Uluru.

The desert offers beautiful hiking trails such as the Kings Canyon. You will also have the chance to ride camels and experience a once-in-a-lifetime sunset. To get here, you can fly from Sydney or  Melbourne to Uluru. Another option is to fly to Alice Springs and make your way down to Ayers Rock. (Fun fact: Ayers Rock is another name for Uluru.)

How will we travel in the post-covid era?

Travel will not be the same as it once was. Perhaps, that’s not a bad thing. We will experience the rise of a so-called conscious traveler. We are talking about a traveler who appreciates their surroundings and local people and is a responsible spender.

People will seek out hotels that are making an effort to minimize their impact on the planet. We will also witness the popularization of ‘workations’ — the combination of work and vacations. We’ll need time to adapt to these changes, but one thing is for sure — as long as we are healthy and have the liberty to travel, nothing is an obstacle.
