What’s Open Closed Thanksgiving Day Monday – As people gather to celebrate and give thanks for the blessings they received, large or small – including the food being prepared for a feast to share with family and friends, here’s a list of most of what’s open closed Thanksgiving Day Monday:
What’s Open and Closed Thanksgiving Monday
What is OPEN (It is recommended you call first to check)
– Most shopping malls, grocery stores, some convenience and retail stores, as well as some restaurants
– Some SAQ outlets
– Some pharmacies with reduced staff
– Atwater and Jean-Talon markets will be open (check for their hours)
– The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Insectarium and Botanical Gardens
– The Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium and the Biodome
– Some outdoor tennis courts
*Montreal and all boroughs will have regular garbage and recycling pickup
*Regular parking meters and parking restrictions are still in effect
CLOSED:
– Federal, provincial and municipal government buildings, including the courthouse and borough offices
– Banks and Post Offices
– The majority of libraries, indoor swimming pools and sports centres
*The STM will follow a holiday schedule
*The Vaudreuil-Hudson RTM line will operate on a Sunday schedule while the St-Jerôme line will follow a weekend schedule. There Deux-Montagnes train line will be completely closed – but mostly for repairs
*The Reseau de transport de Longueuil and Societe de transport de Laval will operate on a Saturday schedule
