Here’s what you can expect at this year’s edition
MONTREAL, June 2, 2025 – Montreal’s incredible summer festival lineup is already ramping up with an abundance of exciting events. And the organizers of Montreal’s Urban Art Festival are excited to announced that from June 5 to 15, Saint-Laurent Boulevard will once again become the open-air stage for the 13th edition of the MURAL Festival, presented by KOHO in collaboration with Lexus Canada.
11 days filled with murals, concerts, street performances and more
Returning to its birthplace, the festival goes back to its roots: a free, accessible, and festive program in the heart of the city. Expect 11 days filled with murals, music concerts, art installations, exhibitions, street performances, and family-friendly activities!
“We’re getting back to what has always driven us: the street, the music, the people. This edition is offered with honesty, simplicity, and as always, for free. Because art and celebration belong to everyone,” says Pierre-Alain Benoît, Executive Director of the MURAL Festival.

Large-Scale Murals and Visual Art
As we speak, the first mural is already being created ahead of the festival. It’s a piece by LaCharbonne, from Montreal, on the façade of 4251 Saint-Denis Street. The project is presented by global lifestyle brand, Stanley 1913.
The 2025 mural lineup features an impressive roster of international and local artists transforming the boulevard’s walls into powerful and evocative artworks. Among the invited muralists: Belin (Spain), Hera (Germany), HOXXOH (USA), Zéh Palito (Brazil), Satr (China/UK), Sebastián Ayala (Costa Rica), TEO (France), as well as local and Canadian artists: Francorama, Katie Green, Zek & Margotella, Whatisadam, Kezna Dalz, and many more.
This diversity reflects MURAL’s commitment to showcasing artistic voices from various generations, cultures, and communities.
The Living Art – Lexus
- Ottawa-based visual artist Dom Laporte and Laval’s music producer High Klassified will collaborate on a special piece: the visual transformation of a Lexus car in a unique installation space on Saint-Laurent Boulevard during the festival, accompanied by a live music afternoon on June 14—a “Surround Sound Set” powered by the cars themselves.
The Inflatable Village
- Families, kids, and everyone young at heart are invited to explore the Inflatable Village, presented by EBOX. It will feature giant-format creations by six Montreal-based artists and free artistic workshops and collaborative creations.
Signature Exhibition: “10 Years of MURAL, An Immersive Journey”
- From June 10 to 15 at WIP on Saint-Laurent Boulevard: A retrospective of MURAL’s 10 years on its original site — “the Main” crowned by a unique Virtual Reality experience that will literally immerse visitors in the universe of the festival’s founding headquarters.
Block Parties on the Saint-Laurent
Stage The musical heartbeat of the festival will take place at the Saint-Laurent Stage, set directly on the boulevard, north of Sherbrooke. All concerts will be entirely free. The lineup includes MOONSHINE, bringing Afrobeat and Afrohouse rhythms; FLÉAU DICAPRIO, launching their album with RACCOON as the opening act; and the CARIBBEAN BLOCK PARTY, presented in collaboration with Konpa on the Beach, celebrating Caribbean culture in an electrifying atmosphere.
The UNIKORN collective will deliver a multisensory experience inspired by queer and club kid culture, while FRIKITON will present an explosive Latin night with reggaeton, cumbia, and baile funk. Attendees can also enjoy a performance by MONTREALITY, a voice for emerging hip-hop, and the BONNE FAMILLE evening—a festive celebration of their collective.
SECRET WALLS will close the series with its famous live painting tournament, blending visual art and music in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere.
- June 10 and 11, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saint-Laurent Stage: Monk-e, Sbuone, Hemma Lagadec, and Octavio Ruëst will battle it out until the audience crowns the Champion Belt winner!
To top off the fun-filled programming, the festival is proud to present the premiere of the Castorama 2025 installations: a series of giant inflatable beavers created by artists from five Canadian provinces to mark the 50th anniversary of the beaver as Canada’s official emblem. Presented with support from the Government of Canada, these monumental and poetic sculptures will debut at MURAL before traveling to Parliament Hill in Ottawa for Canada Day celebrations.
“MURAL is more than an art event: it’s a vibrant space for encounters, expression, and dialogue. Each artwork, each performance, each shared street moment helps redefine our relationship to the city, culture, and one another. This 13th edition returns to the very heart of the festival—art for everyone, on the street, for free—and reaffirms our belief that creation must be a driving force for connection and collective joy,” concludes Nicolas Munn Rico, Co-founder and Creative Director.
