The 2021 edition of the Montreal International Film Festival (MIFF) will take place from August 16-22. Founded by the HELM Foundation, the festival’s mission is to emphasize and create awareness of the following three aspects of the film industry: the creative process, education, and the spirit of collaboration within the industry.
The HELM Foundation is dedicated towards the development of creative young individuals and future filmmakers through the funding of scholarships, creative projects and programs for underprivileged youth. In this way, more opportunities will become open to the next generation of people who want to express their creativity through filmmaking and film production.

When is the Montreal International Film Festival?
Each day of the seven-day festival focuses on a different angle of the world of film production. In order of appearance according to the festival schedule, the daily themes will be: creative development (August 16), short films (August 17), documentaries (August 18), animation (August 19), TV series (August 20) and feature films (August 21); the festival concludes on August 22 with an awards gala.
As well, festival goers will get the opportunity to participate in a series of special events like workshops with experts, Q&A sessions, guest speakers, seminars, scene breakdowns, film screenings and so much more.
And the HELM Foundation invites attendees and supporters to become friends of the festival. By becoming a partner of MIFF, you can enjoy such benefits as connecting to various professionals in the entertainment industry; VIP access to festival events, the awards gala and unique platforms; receive an array of festival swag; and the chance to advertise your brand or business throughout the festival.
There are five levels of Friends of the Festival partnerships that are available to potential supporters and sponsors, which are Friends ($850), Bronze ($1450), Silver ($2500), Gold ($3500) and Platinum ($4950).
