Ariana’s Sparkle is the autism awareness makeup line launched by Ray of Light Canada in April of 2019 as an offshoot of their jewelry collection. The new cosmetics, which include sheer sparkle lip-glosses and a selection of star powders, will be available for purchase year-round through the Ariana’s Sparkle Etsy shop as of November 10th, 2019.
Ray of Light Canada co-founder Charlotte Marie Flannery, makeup artist and mother of two children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), chose the new products to reflect her daughter Ariana’s continuing love of all things sparkly. After receiving such a positive response to our initial launch in April, we decided to expand the collection in time for the holiday season, said Charlotte. It’s exciting and special to watch the collection grow as Ariana continues to grow.
The new lip-glosses, like the existing diamond liquid lip collection, can be worn on their own or layered over a favourite lipstick. These long-lasting glosses have a sheer, moisturizing texture and are enriched with Vitamin E. Five shimmery shades include a peachy pearl, a pretty pink called Girl Stuff (Ariana’s favourite), and a coral rose perfect for vacations down south. Two great shades for fall complete the collection: a rich, sophisticated plum and a warm, neutral brown.
The loose powder glitters called star powders come in three shimmery tints. Sparkler is a beautiful neutral that will suit any skin tone. Mirror, composed of tiny silver reflectors, is inspired by Ariana’s recent love of mirrors. She loves to look in mirrors lately, and sometimes kisses her reflection, said Charlotte. A gold version of Mirror completes the trio.
With the new range of products, Ariana’s Sparkle aims to bring autism awareness and acceptance even further into the mainstream. The collection is made in Canada, hypoallergenic and paraben-free, with no animal testing. 50% of funds raised go to Autism Speaks Canada.
Launched in 2018, Ray Of Light Canada is the autism awareness jewelry collection and co-creation of two long-time friends, Charlotte Flannery and jewelry designer Tracy Gartner. Initially a women’s collection, the duo launched their first men’s bracelet in November of 2018. Also launching this November 10th is a limited edition Holiday collection of a bracelet, necklace and earrings. All designs are now available through the Ray of Light Canada Etsy shop.
