How you end up using a straightener for your beard

When it comes to male grooming, a man’s beard is one of the first topics that will be broached in any discussion. This is for obvious reasons since someone’s facial hair is one of the first things that people recognize. So when it comes to someone keeping their face bristles looking at their absolute best, people will tell you the various methods from combs, beard oil, a beard comb straightener, and many others they’ve tried and not tried all in pursuit of the perfectly crafted beard.

As for most people, their facial hair is something that they have dedicated a long time to building up to a respectable length, whether it be a beard that has been grown out over the course of years or for 6 months, a sizeable commitment is put towards growing it out. So, given the time commitment that someone has dedicated to growing theirs, it makes sense that people are prepared to make the same kind of commitment to try and find the best means of grooming and maintaining the best means to do this for their beard. Given the way that facial grows for the majority of people, growing curly rather than straight, this presents a lot of problems in keeping it neat and tidy.

The obvious and most common method that’s used in trying to get around this is to make use of a comb. It makes perfect sense; you use one for the hair on your head so why not use it just the same for the hairs on your face? This is the way that most people go about looking to keep their beard looking as best as possible. It’s easy, time-efficient, most people already own a comb and know how to use one, so no wonder for many it’s their go-to method of grooming their facial hair. It works well to work the knots out of their beard and can be done on the go. But there are limitations to what can be done with a comb, they do little to deal with frizz and any split ends, which for those with bushier beards can be a major problem.

To battle the problems a comb can’t handle, the go-to solution for people needing something different is to pick up a straightener. This is again a natural step to take seeing as people are more than prepared to use one to achieve smooth and straight hair. So then when it comes to facial hair people will look to make use of a straightener to achieve the same results as they would with the hair on their head. By applying the heat to the hair they are able to work on dealing with split ends and reduce frizz.

It is commonplace for people to use both of these in order to achieve the best results, as with the comb they are able to work out the knots in their hair that inevitably come from the curly beard hair. Then once any knots been eliminated a straightener is used to minimize split ends and frizz, achieving a smooth, well-groomed look for their facial hair
