“4 Aces” Certification for the City of Dorval

Dorval

The 26th Annual Rues principales Foundation Conference, held last September, was an opportunity to renew the “4 Aces of Sustainable and Concerted Development” certification to eight cities that are part of the Réseau Rues principales, including the City of Dorval.

This certification recognizes the commitment of municipalities and the efforts of everyone involved to improve sustainable development as part of their global revitalization approach, based on the reinforcement of the socio-economic vitality, the physical improvement of public spaces and buildings, as well as the preservation and the development of the built, natural, and cultural heritage.

The Rues principales Foundation, working in municipal revitalization for more than 25 years, has developed a partnership in 2007 with the Société d’habitation du Québec to create a network of certified “4 Aces of Sustainable and Concerted Development” municipalities. Winning cities retain their certification for a period of three years.

The City of Dorval is very proud to have its certificate renewed for another three-year period. This quality label makes Dorval an example for other cities regarding the implementation of projects that encourage sustainable development in the community.
