Ballet Eddy Toussaint presents La Môme Piaf – Ballet Eddy Toussaint invites the public, March 9th, to an evening that will honor different facets of dance.
In the first part, the Douglas Anderson Dance Theatre from the United States will perform choreographies chosen by Eddy Toussaint combining ballet, hip-hop, contemporary and modern dance. In the second part, dancers from Ballet Eddy Toussaint will present La Môme Piaf. This ballet will evoke key moments in the life of the famous French singer born in 1919.
This emotional evening will begin at 7 pm at the Centre Leonardo da Vinci, located at 8370 Lacordaire Boulevard in Montreal.
The role of Edith Piaf will be performed by Natalia Korotkova, an accomplished artist and former director of the National Opera Theater and Ballet Maria Biesu, in Moldova. The role of the love of her life will be interpreted by Louis-Philippe Laurendeau, a soloist trained by Mr. Toussaint, while those of her first and last lover will be performed by Timothy Tompkins, principal dancer and general director of the Ballet Eddy Toussaint.

About Eddy Toussaint – Co-founder of Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal and internationally renowned Haitian choreographer emeritus, Eddy Toussaint has choreographed more than a hundred ballets, many of which are part of the repertoire of prestigious companies in Canada, the United States, South America, and Europe. He is the founder of the École de Danse Eddy Toussaint and Ballet Eddy Toussaint. During his career spanning more than 50 years, Eddy Toussaint has received numerous international awards.
