Tremblant International Blues Festival – Weekend Essentials

Tremblant will vibrate to the sound of the International Blues Festival From July 5 to 14, 2019, welcoming musicians from the four corners of the world for 10 days of blues music, from its purest roots to its influence from R&B, soul, funk, country, folk and rock. Nearly 100 indoor and outdoor shows, most of them free, will be presented in a natural environment as Street Blues, jam sessions in unusual locations, blues’araoke and music workshops for the family.

Over the years, the Festival has welcomed numerous international blues, rock and rhythm and blues legends such as Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, Keb Mo, James Cotton, Koko Taylor, Blind Boys of Alabama, Mavis Staples among others. As usual the ten days of music this year are featuring blues giant, aspiring stars and emerging artists following today’s musical trends.

The Tremblant International Blues Festival is one of the largest musical events in Canada. Year after year, the Festival attracts over 100 000 festival-goers that reunite all over town on 4 outdoor stages, in 8 participating resto-bars of the pedestrian village, at Église du village Church and at Casino de Mont-Tremblant.

Renowned for the quality of its programming, its enchanting surroundings and the proximity it offers to the artists – all which has secured the Festival with international recognition and numerous awards – the 2019 edition proposes even more encounters and exchanges.  Festival-goers and artists can mingle in the intimate surroundings of the pedestrian village, while the music workshops will provide them with another venue to interact. The Tremblant International Blues Festival is without a doubt one of the most intimate international festival!

The workshops will allow music-lovers and amateurs to learn some tricks of the trade and listen to interesting anecdotes from the artists, who will also be pleased to answer questions and sign autographs.

Loto-Quebec’s Responsible Gambling and Social Responsibility Director, Éric Meunier, had this to say:

We’re so proud to be sponsoring the Festival international du blues de Tremblant for an 9th consecutive year. It’s a major, must-see event during which festivalgoers will be treated to the sights and sounds of blues music on stages and in various venues. We’re also thrilled to be bringing some of that action to the Casino, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this summer!

For those who only know Tremblant as a winter destination, this festival is the perfect opportunity to discover a whole new side of Mont-Tremblant. Having exceptional trekking, breathtaking scenery and spontaneous music all around the charming mountain village make the experience a magical summer destination.

Don’t miss a moment of the Festival’s 2019 edition, taking place from July 5 to 14
