When will the Canadian-U.S. border open again?

The Canada United States border was closed until July 21, 2020 however government officials have now extended the closure until August 21, 2020 and may be longer. The Canadian government will be reviewing the opening of the boarder every 30 days.

This has been the fourth time the border closure has been extended by the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and President of the United States Donald Trump.

There is speculation from United States officials that they do not feel the border will reopen until the end of the year.

The Canadian and United States border is open for essential reasons such as work and school ONLY.

The Canadian government did loosen the restrictions for Americans to travel to Canada if they had immediate family living in Canada. Boyfriend and girlfriend does not apply unless they lived together for at least one year. Visiting family members must stay for at least 14 days and self-quarantine.

At this time Canada has restrictions on all foreigners entering Canada.
