Skiing regulations with no aprés ski

Skiing regulations

With winter just around the corner many Quebecers are wondering or asking how ski hills are going to handle new regulations this year. There is no question that this year ski hills will have their challenges.

Skiers will have to wear face masks inside the chalet at all times and on the chair lifts, as well as waiting in the lines.

Ski hills located in the red zone locations will offer no eating or drinking inside the chalet.

Skiers will be allowed to enter the chalet to warm up and use the bathroom, then must return outside.

Some ski hills are building food counters outside and placing fire pits around so skiers can warm up and eat something. Some ski hills have even added temporary shelters.

Skiers should also buy their lift tickets online as well. Most ski hills have a limited amount of tickets that can be sold to manage the amount of people on the hill.

Last year the ski industry lost millions as it was forced to close early spring. This year they hope to make up for the lost revenue and offer a safe place for people to exercise outdoors.

Please check with the ski hill you are thinking of going to see there restrictions on their website.

Bon Ski and aprés ski will have to wait until you get home.
