Thursday’s on Crescent street has closed its doors and left over 100 employees out of work.

Owners of Thursday’s Club sent out an e-mail New Year’s day telling them that the bar is closed and they have lost their jobs.

Employees served customers on New Year’s Eve and could not believe that the bar / restaurant is closed.

Thursday’s first opened its doors in 1973 and has been a institution on Crescent Street ever since. In 2012 the Bar / Restaurant changed ownership and went under major renovations.

Thursday’s is yet another nail in the coffin for Crescent Street night life and will surely be missed.

Co-owner of Thursday’s, Chris-Ann Nakis says, she isn’t to blame and feels for the 100 employees who have lost their job.
