Players to consider for fantasy football in NFL in 2022

Fantasy Football

Many Canadian NFL fans enjoy playing NFL Fantasy Football as it can be great entertainment every weekend when games are being played. With the season upcoming, now is a good time to start considering who to draft in your team ahead of the campaign.

Here are some players who should be on your shortlist ahead of the draft in your NFL fantasy league this year.

Christian McCaffrey (Carolina Panthers) – Running Back

If you are fortunate enough to be one of the first overall picks in your NFL draft, Christian McCaffrey is the player you should look to snap up above anybody else. The Carolina Panthers running back is, in many pundits’ opinion, the most valuable player available this year.

Those who selected McCaffrey in 2020 and 2021 were unlucky, as he played just three games in 2020 and seven matches last year. The 2019 campaign is the best year to analyze what the RB can deliver. He scored 15 rushing touchdowns, four receiving doubles and he had over 1,000 rushing and receiving yards.

The Panthers have a new QB this year in Baker Mayfield, but their focus is likely to be on running the ball, rather than throwing it. Having a player as good as McCaffrey at RB dictates that, regardless of the coach. If the 26-year-old stays fit this season, he should consistently deliver big points for your team.

Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills) – Quarterback

How high you go to draft a quarterback is your judgment call to make, however, at the top of your wishlist this season should be the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen. The 26-year-old is MVP material and one of the best at his position in the sport.

Allen recorded 36 passing and six rushing touchdowns in the 2021 regular season. He ended the campaign with over 5,000 all-purpose yards. The former seventh overall pick is now one of the elite QBs in the league and he is arguably the most reliable.

The Bills will have Super Bowl aspirations in the 2022/23 campaign. They are the +600 favorites in the sports betting to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy on August 16. If you get to the fourth round and Allen remains available, he is going to prove hard to turn down, as the players behind you are likely to snap him up at that stage.

A.J. Brown (Philadelphia Eagles) – Wide Receiver

By his usual high standards, 2021 was a disappointing year for A.J. Brown at the Tennessee Titans. He scored just five touchdowns, which means he is unlikely to be ranked as high by NFL fantasy players in 2022.

Brown was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in the off-season and that is likely to be a good move for him. He is set to be one of the leading WRs in the NFC East team, which means there could be some value in selecting him.

The 2021 Pro Bowler will be playing like he has something to prove this year. He is likely to be much lower down the draft order than in the previous two years, so you may be able to capture him beyond the third round.

Darren Waller (Las Vegas Raiders) – Tight End

When it comes to the leading tight ends in your NFL fantasy draft, Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews and George Kittle are all likely to be taken very early. In order to take one of those players, it means you have to turn down a leading WR or RB.

In terms of the next tier of TEs, the Las Vegas Raiders’ Darren Waller is your best option. In 2020, he scored nine touchdowns and recorded 1,196 receiving yards. His numbers weren’t quite as good in 2021, but he had one or two niggling injuries throughout the campaign.

Waller is a big part of the Raiders’ offense, and he is a player QB Derek Carr sees as his ‘go to’ man when it comes to big plays. If he stays fit throughout the campaign, he could be set for another big year, just like he had in 2020.

Good luck with your NFL fantasy team in 2022. Hopefully the above four players help make it a successful year for you against your friends and colleagues.

For many building owners, warehouse managers, or home workshop enthusiasts, the ceiling is a landscape of aging metal boxes housing flickering fluorescent tubes. These fixtures, while functional for decades, have become a source of mounting frustration. Between the humming ballasts and the constant need to replace burnt-out bulbs, the maintenance cycle feels never-ending. The good
