things to do in Toronto

Toronto is one of the most exciting cities in the world for many reasons. Whatever your interests are, you will always find something you like. Whether you’re an art lover or just enjoy the crazy city life, you will definitely have a blast in Toronto. And if you want a break from the city, Toronto has so many places where you can escape city life and have a wonderful, relaxing time. One week may not be enough to take in Toronto’s beauty, but here are Six fun things to do in Toronto in seven days.

  • Visit the CN Tower

Some people say it’s one of the world’s best wonders in the modern world. The CN Tower is about 1815 ft long (553 m). There are so many options for fun things to do, including dining and sightseeing. Yet, the most popular activity of all at the CN Tower is EdgeWalk. This is not for the faint-hearted, but it’s for the adventurers out there who love a little bit of edge living (pun intended). EdgeWalk is an activity where groups of 6 stand 116 feet up above the ground, where people test their ability to lean back as far as they can at this tremendous height while being held safely by a harness and a trolley. It’s a Canadian trademark, so you simply can’t go to Toronto without visiting CN Tower.

  • Go Golfing

Golf is a great sport that helps you clear your mind while you’re basically playing a sport. The most famous golf club in Toronto is the Toronto Golf Club, and whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you will find the equipment needed to play. For beginners who want to give golf a try and looking for a beginner set of irons, you can always check the golf clubs reviews on the internet or ask the people at the club for suggestions. And if you don’t get the hang of it the first time, you can always go again and practice. Just hanging out on vast areas of greenland is worth going golfing for, let alone the coolness of the sport.

  • Have a Walk at Toronto Botanical Garden

Toronto Botanical Garden is a magical place where numerous plants are grown in a safe, healthy environment. Walking in the garden while among the vibrant colours of trees, flowers, fruits, and leaves growing in the garden is so much fun and refreshing. It’s got about 17 gardens filled with gorgeous plants, so it’s the perfect place for a fun walk to clear your mind and chill.

  • Watch Comedy Shows at The Second City

What’s more fun than laughing to tears watching performances at the place where many of the most hilarious comedians were born? The Second City is a theater where most comedians go to perform their gigs in front of an audience and become famous. It is where Bill Murray, John Candy, Dan Aykroid, and many more of the comedy legends first started, and it is the place that gave them the chance to go to Hollywood.

  • Go to the Distillery District

The Distillery District is one of the most fun places to visit in Toronto for so many reasons. No matter what you like, you’ll find something amazingly exciting to do there. For those who like shopping, the Distillery District has a wide variety of shops where you will definitely find what you want, whether you want skincare products, accessories, clothes, you name it. For those who love and appreciate art, the district’s architecture design alone is spectacular to look at. That is not all, of course. There are numerous art galleries, this is beside the theaters where you can watch special movies, plays, and phenomenal cultural performances. You can also grab a quick bite and a nice hot or cold drink at the many cafés there, or pamper yourself with a delicious meal at any of the restaurants in the district.

  • Beach Fun at the Toronto Islands

Going to Toronto Islands is a must if you’re spending a week there in summer. Enjoy the spectacular water, the lovely warm sun, and gorgeous sand at the beaches on the islands. Biking is the ultimate way to move around the islands, so it would be heavenly to take a bike tour in the fresh, early morning air, then jump into the cool water at the beach and get this magical bronze tan that makes every outfit you have looks absolutely stunning.

Toronto is more than just a city. There are so many options for places to visit and activities to do. Spending a week there is not enough to explore everything, but it’s still enough to fall in love with this incredible place.
