The first Le Petit Dep was opened in 2015 on Saint-Paul Street in the Old Port of Montreal, giving a whole new meaning to the term “convenience store”. The second location is also in the Old Port, on rue Saint-Sulpice, while the third is located at Carrefour Laval. Over the next few years, Magda hopes to transform the legacy of the Kander Building into a vibrant and vibrant creative hub, destined to evolve over time.

The creative spirit behind Le Petit Dep is Magda Slezak, a serial entrepreneur whose mission is to serve her community, bringing epicureans together around quality coffee and artisanal culinary products.

Le Petit Dep is a perfect hybrid between a convenience store and a cafe, where locals and visitors alike can shop for specialty groceries not available in conventional grocery stores, while enjoying third-wave coffee accompanied by a delicious bite. Completely relaxed, Le Petit Dep is the ideal place to meet up with friends over a coffee or a drink. It is also the perfect place to get unique homemade dishes, as well as a variety of local products, such as homemade jams, caramels, chocolates, nut butter, condiments, body products. , candles and much more. The Petit Dep team is proud to encourage local artisans who do not use fillers or preservatives in their products, which puts it at the forefront of modern convenience stores.

During the last 4 months, Magda Slezak and Clément Julhès, supervisor of Petit Dep, have given themselves the mission of unearthing the most beautiful retro pieces. The result of their collaboration? A most charming eclectic decor, created with the help of Thomas Csano (designer of Darling and Majestique) and his friend Lysanne Pépin (Maison Pépin).

Le Petit Dep carefully selects the best local products, while simultaneously developing recipes with their own chef. Their delicious coffee comes from the famous Pista roaster, located in Montreal. Local pastries and baked goods, such as croissants from Copains first, are served fresh daily. Customers can also enjoy a variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups, such as a smoked salmon bagel, asparagus and mushroom frittata, grilled cheese, beet and feta salad, and more. Hot dishes, such as veggie pie, lasagna bolognese, and mushroom Mac & Cheese, will comfort anyone perfectly on a cold winter day. Whether it is to eat on the spot, or to take away, all the dishes can be adapted to your needs. During the summer season, Le Petit Dep is proud to serve artisanal ice cream signed Les Givrés, vegan ice cream, as well as sorbets. Dalla Rose artisanal ice creams are now available for sale all year round in the frozen products section. The new establishment located in Griffintown will soon add cocktails, wines and beers to its menu.
