Adam Sandler returns to Montreal after 27-year absence
The last time actor/comedian Adam Sandler performed in Montreal was during the 1992 Just For Laughs festival, where he performed sets at Club Soda and at a gala at the St. Denis Theatre. At the time, he was known as a regular cast member of Saturday Night Live and had yet to star in a string of hit movie comedies such as “Billy Madison”, “Happy Gilmore” and “The Waterboy”.
And now, 27 years later, Just For Laughs and evenko are bringing back Sandler to perform live onstage at the Bell Centre, as part of his 18-date “100% Fresher” summer tour, on June 8 starting at 8 p.m.
The tour, which has been playing to sold-out crowds across North America over the past two years, has already been turned into a Netflix stand-up special, and an audio version of the special has been released by Warner Bros. Records. As well, Netflix will be releasing Sandler’s latest movie “Murder Mystery”, which was filmed on location in Montreal, on June 14.
Tickets for the Montreal leg of Adam Sandler’s “100% Fresher” tour are now on sale, and prices start at $49.75. Tickets can be purchased at the Bell Centre box office, by calling 514-790-2525, or online at www.evenko.ca.
