Canadian government could announce $25B aid for Canadians

Prime Minister Trudeau says this crisis could last weeks or even months.

Parliament may be recalled to announce emergency measures.

The Federal government of Canada is planning on a massive aid package in the amount of $25 billion to help all Canadians and Canadian businesses to get through the COVID-19 crisis that was learned from CBC News-Radio Canada.

The money will be delivered through existing programs already in place including employment insurance and Canada Child Benefit. “It is going to be significant and comprehensive,” a senior government official said.
