Quebec employment minister Jean Boulet made an announcement yesterday that there will be an increase in minimum wage.
Quebec’s hourly wage will be $12.50 per hour as of May 1, 2019. That will be a $0.50 increase.
Employees who receive tips will have an increase of $0.25 per hour bringing their total hourly wage to $10.05.
This will benefit over 288,000 quebec workers.
