COVID-19: 60 and over are up

The Quebec government announced last night (Sunday, March 21, 2021) that Montrealers over the age of 60 years old can register for the COVID-19 vaccine appointments now. People can also register on the portal to receive the vaccine in a pharmacy, (we tried at the mtltimes and the website portal had not been updated to allow registration to receive the vaccine at pharmacies yet).

At the momment 355 pharmacies in the Montreal area have signed up to give the COVID-19 vaccine. Each pharmacy has only received 100 doses. The Quebec governments goal is to have the pharmacies administer 140,000 vaccines per week.

As of Sunday there has been 648 new cases of COVID-19 in Quebec and five people have died. 501 people are in the hospital a decrease of four.

As of today March 22, 2021 944,863 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Quebec since the first vaccine was given December 14, 2020.

Appointments can be made on the Quebec portal by clicking here.
