Montreal needs to be locked down

‘Montreal needs to be locked down,’ is not the six words we want to hear but… The medical community of infectious disease specialists, physicians and other heath experts says the Quebec government needs to place Montreal in lockdown once again before the spread of the coronavirus variants spirals out of control. The experts say, “half measures make the situation worse.”

“Instead of us still being in this type of a pandemic situation that affects us with restrictive measures for six to 10 weeks, we could maybe take control of the situation in just a few week,” Dr. Amir Khadir, an infectious disease specialist at Pierre-Le Gardeur Hospital told CBC.

Montreal is still a red zone however gyms, churches( max. of 250 people) and movie theatres remain open. Curfew was changed from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
