Tour the Island of Laval with help from the reinvented Rallye des rivières app

Rallye des rivières

The official opening of the Rallye des rivières, organized by the Centre d’Interprétation de l’Eau de Laval (C.I.EAU) took place on June 15, 2021. The Rallye, first created in June 2012 on the banks of the Rivière Mille Îles, has reinvented itself for the summer of 2021. In addition to adding nine (9) new stations on the Rivière des Prairies, the C.I.EAU has revamped the existing stations, created a fun mobile app that links them together and makes the experience accessible at all times, to young and old alike.

In collaboration with the Ministère des Affaires Municipales et de l’Habitation, the City of Laval, the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation, the Ministère du Tourisme and Tourisme Laval, this year the circuit is expanding. The tour is now composed of sixteen (16) educational and recreational stations around the island of Laval and can be done by bicycle, car or motorcycle. The C.I.EAU offers participants a route of up to 125 km, including the five (5) other stations that will be added this summer on the north shore of the Rivière Mille Îles to enhance the experience. There will therefore be a total of 21 Rallye des rivières stations in 2021.

The new geo-referenced mobile app completes the Rallye des rivières experience! Available in French and English, it will accompany participants throughout the Rallye. The app is fun and offers the possibility to collect object cards divided into five categories. This treasure hunt along the route will appeal to visitors of all ages. The mobile app includes content dedicated to adults as well as content adapted for families with children. It will be available for free on IOS and Android under the name “CIEAU.”
