On Friday, August 28, more than 3,000 guests dressed in white will gather at an iconic Montreal location, revealed only hours before the event.
This year, Dîner en Blanc Montréal invites its guests to travel back in time with “Soirée Parisienne – La Belle Époque”, an edition imagined as a true immersion into early 20th-century Paris.
Far more than just a backdrop, the theme will come to life throughout the evening through a series of performances, characters, and animations inspired by this fascinating era, with an unmistakable nod to the cabarets and Parisian nights of La Belle Époque.
The experience has been designed so that guests aren’t simply surrounded by La Belle Époque-inspired elements but can truly be transported to another time, one of Parisian elegance, the buzz of the grand boulevards, spectacle, and surprise.
For a few hours, Montreal will give way to an imagined Paris, where every animation can become a new encounter, and where the celebration unfolds as much among the guests as around the tables.
True to the tradition that has helped create the magic of Dîner en Blanc since its beginnings, the location of this 16th edition will remain entirely secret until just hours before the event. For one evening, thousands of people dressed in white will gather around elegantly set tables to share a meal and enjoy a festive program in the heart of Montreal.
The signature all-white aesthetic is an essential part of the experience. Guests are encouraged to embrace the occasion with elegant, creative, all-white attire and tables styled in the same spirit. Participants first meet at designated departure points before volunteers lead them to the secret location. At the end of the night, everyone packs up their belongings and leaves the site exactly as they found it, preserving Dîner en Blanc’s longstanding leave-no-trace tradition.
A limited number of tables are still available for those looking to be part of the experience. Tickets are sold in pairs on a first-come, first-served basis and can be purchased through the official Dîner en Blanc Montreal website.
Meet this year’s featured chefs
This year, Dîner en Blanc Montreal is putting the spotlight on three Montreal chefs, each bringing a distinct culinary perspective to the table:
Ashley Thornton, a Montreal chef and entrepreneur, brings over 20 years of experience, including time at Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and California. She has appeared on several Quebec culinary shows, including Les Chefs! and La cuisine d’Isabelle et Ricardo.
Maria-José de Frias and her daughter Zoya de Frias Lakhany of restaurant Virunga offer cuisine inspired by sub-Saharan Africa, showcasing local Quebec products. Virunga is also the only African restaurant in Canada recommended by the MICHELIN Guide in 2025 and 2026.
Lily Sirikittikul of restaurant ChuChai reimagines the flavours of Thai cuisine through a vegetarian and vegan approach. The restaurant notably holds Thai SELECT certification, awarded by the Royal Thai Government for the authenticity of its cuisine. To take part in the experience, guests have two options: bring their own table and chairs, or choose a departure point where tables and chairs are provided, so they can travel lighter. All participants must, however, bring a white tablecloth, white cloth napkins, and their own tableware. Guests can also bring their own meal or choose a gourmet picnic basket created by four Montreal chefs, which can be booked online. Dîner en Blanc Montreal is a “bring your own wine/champagne” event: these are the only alcoholic beverages permitted on- site. These few rules help preserve the unique, elegant, and collective experience that is the signature of Dîner en Blanc.
