Centaur Theatre hosts spectacular gala

Centaur Theatre is going to be hosting what is calls a fundraising gala, Centaur Spectacular!, taking place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at its historic venue in the heart of Old Montreal. The event will raise critical funds in support of Centaur’s artistic programming and community initiatives on the eve of the theatre’s 57th season as Montreal’s flagship Anglophone theatrical institution.

Moulin Rouge! Theme

Inspired by the bawdy fun of Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge!, this year’s gala offers a delightful evening of curated experiences, including top-notch gourmet food, original cocktails in our custom-designed underground speakeasy, an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre’s newly renovated stage, a live auction featuring an exciting selection of high-value items and experiences, as well as an exclusive sneak peak of the upcoming season.

Preview Centaur Theatre’s 57th season

The on-stage preview of Centaur’s upcoming 57th season will be hosted by the inimitable Leni Parker (star of the upcoming Kisses Deep) and will include live music by singer-songwriter Sarah Segal-Lazar as well as featured performances by Lyndz Dantiste, Yves Jacques, and other surprise guests.

Featured Auction Items Include:

  • A signed jersey from NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw
  • A one-week stay at The Crane Resort in tropical Barbados
  • An all-expenses-paid trip for two to visit James Bay and the Hydro-Québec dam
  • two-night penthouse stay at Hotel Epik, located in the heart of Old Montreal
  • private Italian dinner for 10 prepared by cookbook author Maria Loggia at her home in Hudson

A variety of ticket packages are available, including Friends tickets and premium Ruby tables. All proceeds from the event support Centaur Theatre’s continued work in producing innovative, accessible, and high-quality English-language theatre in Montreal.
