Bell Alt TV presents OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival in collaboration with Coors Light from August 2 to 4 at Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal. The 14th edition of the festival is coming home to its newly renovated original site with everything you remember and love… only better! OSHEAGA prides itself on being the premier music festival in Canada by offering local and traveling music lovers from all around the world once in a lifetime moments and exceptional live music. With over 100 acts in a unique venue, the festival offers picturesque scenery and unparalleled visual arts, a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Two years ago, OSHEAGA embarked on a journey to explore a new island, new stages, and a new experience. This year, the festival returns to its original, newly renovated site which will offer more comfortable and spacious festival grounds than ever before, the iconic side-by-side main stages, activities, spectacular art installations and assorted culinary options.
THE LINE UP
After massive sold out shows in Toronto (2016) and Montreal (2017) where they captivated their audiences with their anthemic sing-along hits, rock-folk band The Lumineers will make their OSHEAGA headlining debut on Friday night. For the first time in almost 20 years, The Chemical Brothers return to Montreal to headline Saturday night with their signature electrifying set, complete with stunning visuals, for their only headlining festival appearance in North America. Closing this year’s festival is actor/rapper/director Childish Gambino, who walked away with four 2019 Grammy Awards for his culturally poignant single, This is America.
With their upcoming Coachella headlining set and with a highly anticipated 4th studio album on the way, Aussie rock band Tame Impala will also perform at the festival. Grammy Award nominated, innovative pop singer-songwriter and activist, Janelle Monae, returns to Montreal for the first time since 2012. Latin sensations J Balvin and RosalÃa will add some flavour to the weekend. The pioneer of future bass, Flume kicks off his tour at OSHEAGA. Introducing the next big name in reggae, Koffee, a 19-year-old Jamaican making waves on the scene. Pop sensation Dean Lewis returns after selling out Corona Theatre this spring. Other must-see acts include: Jessie Reyez, winner of the 2018 Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist, legendary hip hop artist Gucci Mane and indie-rock singer-songwriter Mitski.
