Murders in Quebec – A Saint-Thérèse man was charged today with two-counts of first-degree murder along with five counts of attempted murder after he allegedly attacked random people in the historic district of Quebec City. The 24 year old was dressed in a medieval outfit. The Quebec police say the man chose his victims at random this past Halloween night. The 24 year old man stabbed seven and killed two.

This past halloween night the Quebec police were contacted at 10:30 p.m. and they discovered the victims in four different locations in the historic district of Quebec near the Château Frontenac hotel.

The police organized a manhunt for the assailant which took two-and-a-half-hours to apprehend the suspect around 1 a.m. this morning one kilometre north of the Old Port in Quebec.

Quebec police have learned that the suspect came to Quebec with the intention of harming as many people as possible. The Quebec police also added, “everything leads them to believe he chose all his victims at random and the crimes where all premeditated.”

The suspect was carrying a Japanese katana style sword.

The 24 year-old suspect does not have a criminal record, however he did reveal 5 years ago, that he wanted to commit a violent act. Police do not believe the attacks where associated with any terrorist, religious groups or political reasons.
