U.S. shoot down unidentified object over Yukon

U.S. shoot down unidentified object

Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau tweeted yesterday afternoon thanking NORAD for keeping watch over North America and shooting down an unidentified object in Canadian airspace over the Yukon.

“It has been confirmed that the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD) has shot down an unidentified object,” said PM Justin Trudeau. “I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. (NORAD) shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object.”

Prime Minister Trudeau also explained that he has spoken with United States President Biden and the Canadian Forces will now recover and analyze the wreckage of the unidentified object.

The cylindrical object was flying at an altitude of 40,000 feet and was first spotted over Alaska Friday afternoon.

The object entered the Yukon air space early Saturday morning. Prime Minister Trudeau ordered the shoot down by whichever country arrived at it first.

Canadian officials said that at no time were Yukoners were at risk.

This is the third incident over North America skies in the past week. The week before Americans shot down a Chinese surveillance ballon, (Chinese state it was a weather ballon). Also this past Friday the Americans shot down another object off the coast of Alaska.
