Quebec to vaccinate essential workers

The Quebec government has announced today that they will start to vaccinate essential workers and chronically ill people in Montreal.

Minister Christian Dubé said, “Essential workers, school staff, daycare workers, police, fireman, prison guards who work in Montreal will be able to make appointments as of this Friday April 9, 2021 on the Clic-Santé website. He also added, “They will be asked to bring a proof of employment.”

Quebec to vaccinate essential workers

Montrealers that have chronic illness that are 60 years of age and younger can consult their doctors and can be vaccinated as of Monday April 12, 2021.

55 and up can get AstraZeneca vaccine

Minister Christian Dubé also announced that Montrealers and across the province over the age of 55 years will be able to walk into any mass vaccination clinic without an appointment and receive the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine. Walk-ins will begin Friday April 9, 2021.

The Quebec government is looking to vaccinate the entire province with their first dose by June 24, 2021.
