Tim Horton’s is in the news again just a few days after Canadian music icon Justin Bieber called them out on the new plastic coffee lid. Alex Macedo, President of Tim Horton’s for Canada and the United States and overseeing the Latin America region says he will step down as President in March 2020. Mr. Alex Macedo has been president of Tim Horton’s for the last two years.

Restaurant Brands International Inc. says the Alex Macedo will be eligible for severance benefits.

Restaurant Brands international Inc. has announced Axel Schwan as the new regional President of Tim Horton’s Canada.

Tim Horton’s has been struggling to grow sales despite launching incentive programs and offering Beyond Meat plant-based sausages in selected markets in Canada. Many customers have been complaining over the years that everything offered from the coffee giant is frozen.

Restaurant Brands international Inc. also own Burger King and Popeyes with both chains reporting great numbers.
