Montreal’s population of 45 years and older have certainly lined up for the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine over the past few weeks and have dried up all of Montreal’s doses. The Montreal City public health authorities said, It’s been an overwhelming success.”
When the Quebec government lowered the age restriction for walk-in clinics that were giving the AstraZeneca vaccine Montrealers showed up and drained the clinics of all their doses.
“With the appointments confirmed in the next week, more than 20,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines will have been administered in Montreal. The population aged 45 and and older showed up,” said the Public Health authorities.
Walk-in doses are no longer available however, according to the government booked appointments will not be affected by the lack of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. The mtltimes has heard that some appointments have been cancelled due to lack of AstraZeneca COVID_19 vaccine.
