Starting early November fully vaccinated Canadians will be able to drive across the U.S. Canada land border. It was announced today that the U.S. Canada border will open November 8th 2021 to fully vaccinated travellers. The U.S. land borders have been closed since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

The U.S. is waiting for information on Centers for Disease Control (CDC) about travellers who received mixed doses of the COVID_19 vaccines or the AstraZeneca vaccine. The United States never approved mixing the vaccines or the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The CDC is planning on accepting travellers who have been vaccinated with any vaccine for air travel and most likely will do the same for land border crossing.
If a traveller is fully vaccinated, there will be no requirement for them to show a negative COVID-19 test.
The Canadian border was open to U.S. travellers fully in August. Maybe people asked questions as why the U.S. did not follow suit. At this point there are roughly 263 million people fully vaccinated in Canada, United States and Mexico.
