The MURAL Festival team is proud to announce Montreal 10th MURAL festival, presented by Fizz, will take place June 9-19, 2022 in Montreal, and will feature prominent artists as part of its lineup.

“For this special occasion, MURAL is back to its good old habits and celebrates the arrival of summer, in June on St. Laurent. The boulevard remains the beating heart and the historical birthplace of the festival, especially as it becomes pedestrian and animated with electric crowds. The 10th edition of MURAL will give it a brand new look, with a dozen large-scale murals being produced and of course, a plethora of artistic animations,” explains Pierre-Alain Benoît, general manager at MURAL.
The return of international artists, as well as many local talents, is more than welcome and right on time for the festival’s anniversary edition. One of the headliners of the 10th edition of MURAL will be the American artist, entrepreneur and activist Shepard Fairey, also creator of the OBEY brand, who visits Montreal for the very first time. Fairey is best known for his “Hope” poster, created for Barack Obama’s electoral campaign.
High on the list of best-known urban artists of the last three decades, Shepard Fairey will leave his mark on our city by creating a major mural in the heart of the red light district on St. Laurent boulevard.
Major concerts for the 10th edition
As the parking lot located at 3527 St. Laurent, which has been the festival’s main show and event zone since the beginning, is slated to welcome the next Holocaust Museum in 2024, MURAL is forced to explore and activate new locations for its future large-scale musical events.
The festival is proud to present a first series of major shows outside its historic zone right on time to celebrate its 10th anniversary!
From Friday June 10th to Sunday June 12th, three large-scale outdoor shows will take place in downtown Montreal, at a site located at 650 Peel st, south of Saint-Jacques. The site will have a capacity of approximately 4,000 people and is located steps from Bonaventure metro and major thoroughfares.

This site will have a capacity of just over 4,000 festival-goers and is within walking distance of the Bonaventure metro station and downtown arteries.
The major concerts of the 10th edition of the MURAL festival will bring together international talents and local artists for hip-hop, grime, afrobeat and electronic music performances.
